New Mexico Community AIDS Partnership
NMCAP was originally founded to provide funding and technical assisantance for HIV-related programs serving the diverse populations of New Mexico. Over time, our mission expanded to include efforts to address health disparities affecting LGBTQIA+ people and other populations that are disproportionately affected by HIV. We collaborate with others who focus on equity for intersecting populations with the ultimate goal of equity for all.
Currently, NMCAP supports services for People Living with AIDS and offers training and consultation to educators, medical, behavioral health, and public health professionals on how to provide welcoming and supportive services to LGBTQIA+ people. We also work with state agencies and nonprofit organizations on the creation and dissemination of research on the LGBTQIA+ populations of New Mexico.
